What it isChrysalis is a youth version of The Walk to Emmaus that’s designed for those ages 15–18 in grades 9–12. It’s a time for young people to learn about faith, experience Christian support and love, and make new commitments to their faith.
-
Why it’s called ChrysalisThe name symbolizes the spiritual growth that’s essential for young people between adolescence and adulthood, similar to how a caterpillar grows into a butterfly through the chrysalis stage. The butterfly is an ancient Christian symbol of Christ’s death and resurrection.
Chrysalis is designed for high school youth ages 15 to 18. At this age, young people are making major decisions about religion, lifestyle, vocation, and lifelong relationships. Chrysalis challenges them to grow not only in mind and body but also in spirit and faith.
